About Taylor Shearin
Taylor is from Virginia Beach, VA and has been riding for as long as she can remember. She grew up on a small farm and got her first pony when she was three. Taylor started showing on the VBHSA circuit when she was six years old and on the “A” circuit when she was nine years old. She has never looked back, making her first trip to indoors at 11 years old on her small pony Benlea Neptune. She has trained with Chris Wynne of Breckenridge Manor Farm for around 16 years and has had a decorated pony, junior, and amateur career. She has competed at all of the major horse shows in Virginia as well as shows such as WEF, the Pennsylvania National Horse Show, the Washington International Horse Show, the National Horse Show, Aiken, Blowing Rock, etc. She attended James Madison University and competed on both of their IHSA teams, serving as team captain for her last season at JMU. She has had the pleasure of working with and for several top professionals including Chris Wynne, Glenn Moody, Jason and Alisa Berry, Claiborne Bishop, Glenn Moody, Sandy Ferrel and several others. She has recently turned professional and is excited for the opportunity to teach students of all ages and riding levels as well as riding and training young horses.
